A most fantastic stay

Dear Brett and Paige,

Gerald and I had the most fantastic stay on Tsowa Island. Thanks for letting us be amongst the first guests to stay at your lodge. It is just amazing and I can only say, what an incredible achievement! The way it has all been done to blend into the natural surroundings is just great. I loved the main living area and particularly the firepit area placed almost right over the river. Our tent was so comfortable with everything we needed and the best part was the hammock overlooking the Zambezi. I spent a whole afternoon lying there reading my book – absolute bliss.

I think my over-riding impression was just how peaceful it all was. We both really appreciated that particularly as our normal working life in the pharmacy is busy, noisy and often incredibly demanding so for us it was the perfect escape.

Your staff were so friendly and helpful. It was great to get to know Francie and we had some really enjoyable meals with her and Clint, who we thought was a great guide. I am an extremely amateur birder in that I really enjoy birding when I’m in the bush and then never follow it up until the next time I go, by which time I’ve forgotten everything. He took us on a couple of morning walks on the island and we identified so many different birds. We enjoyed the game drives in the Zambezi National Park and of course the sundowner cruises down the river.  

I kept looking at all that has been constructed on that remote island and thinking that everything had to come across that river, even the swimming pools! I am really interested to hear how you achieved it all.

There has been a huge amount of interest about our trip from different people since we’ve been back. After saying all of the above, I tell everyone that if I could go back tomorrow I would!
